What have we been up to?
Blog is back again, after a little holiday. Last month Liz and I travelled round the whole parish (11 churches, 19 miles) as part of a sponsored walk for the Ride and Stride initiative to raise funds for the Lincolnshire Churches Trust and our parish. We raised over £300 - so thanks to all who sponsored us. Here we are on our travels, outside Osbournby Church.
September also saw the formal reopening of Aswarby Church after the major work on the spire and north aisle roof. For details of this click on the Our Community - Parish News tab and follow the link to the Diocese of Lincoln website.
September and October is the Harvest Festival season, and we have 13 services in all, including one in Haceby, which is the only annual service in this beautiful church now looked after by the Churches Conservation Trust. A highlight of the harvest festivals this year was a performance of a harvest play by the children of our Church MAD (Music and Drama) after school club from Osbournby School.
All in all, we have had a lot of fun!
