The Parish of South Lafford

Our community

Our Parish is set amid the rolling countryside of south Lincolnshire in the UK, lying 13 miles east of Grantham and 6 miles south of Sleaford. The parish is part of the Anglican Diocese of Lincoln, but spiritual home to Christians of all denominations.

Our Parish consists of fifteen rural communities with eleven churches; each of which is unique.  All of them offer a diverse range of worship and social events.

We hope to appeal to most people's spiritual needs by a wide variety of worship, mostly based on the contemporary language Common Worship and the traditional Book of Common Prayer, but with some more innovative services too.  The South Lafford Choir sings at some of our services and rehearses at Folkingham Church  - new members are welcome.

You would be most welcome to join us at any of our services, all of which are published on the Home Page and in our parish magazine, The Voice.

The parish of South Lafford is in Interregnum, currently without a priest in charge.

The South Lafford Prayer

Bless us, O God, on our journey through life.

May we enjoy your creation and delight in our companions along the way.

Thank you for those who have given us our heritage of churches in this place,

so that they may resound again and again to your praise,

and proclaim your loving presence to all people of South Lafford.

May your Spirit lead us into the fullness of the Way, the Truth and the Life in Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Amen.
